The Coach House
98 Great Western Highway, Mount Victoria
THE COACH HOUSE (circa 1877), located in the Blue Mountains Village of Mt Victoria, is a beautifully restored home, steeped in local history. Staying in this one-of-a-kind holiday escape allows you to step back in time and experience a bygone era. The expansive hidden away from the outside world character of this unique property's grounds will astound history buffs as well as those who enjoy strolling through an English-influenced country garden. If you happen to see the owner, she'll be happy to chat about the best places to experience the local walking trails as well as share The Coach House's unique history.
For couples travelling together, the two antique-decorated upstairs bedrooms include an interconnecting door that may be locked for privacy. A lovely old fashioned claw foot bathtub, also located upstairs, is perfect for a lengthy soothing bubble bath.
A cosy living and dining space with an open fireplace awaits you downstairs, where you can relax with a good book, a glass of wine, or both and there's a BBQ just outside the door with a great alfresco area to enjoy the sunshine, while the kitchen is ideal for preparing a quick dinner or two.
If you enjoy rambling English gardens and a taste of history on your holidays, consider this impressive property for your next visit to the Blue Mountains, just over an hour and 50mins from Sydney.

Attention to detail
Thomasina Donovan - 9th March 2020My friends and I had a lovely time in this place, which felt like a home away from home. Your attention to detail on the information provided made everything very simple.
I'd stay again for sure!
Judy Charge - 10th November 2019Love it so much! Huge and a bit rambling with a touch of quirkiness that sets off a place like that with a bit Steampunk. I'd stay again for sure!
Hope to stay again
Judy Lovegrove - 3rd November 2019Grand Canyon Chalet was beautiful, spacious and extremely clean. The team at Blue Mountains Escapes were very friendly and very helpful. Hopefully we can stay at Grand Canyon Chalet again.

I would recommend
Irene Kinder - 11th June 2019Absolutely wonderful holiday destination. The house is very large and has interesting furnishings of a bygone era. Very large yard that our pups loved to explore. I would recommend this property for two couples who would like to share a quiet holiday, but close to shops and other townships.
