I thought the cottage was really well set up and we appreciated all the little niceties that are not normally supplied, such as good tea bags and coffee, scented bags in the drawers, plenty of hangers in the cupboards, a decent cake of soap and plenty of toilet rolls. The kitchen was well supplied with nice glasses and fine china mugs that were good to drink tea from [thick china is no good!] I also noticed the availability of a pepper mill with black pepper, various other condiments, a medical kit etc – not required on our brief stay but appreciated none the less. It was also good having towel rails/airers in the both bedrooms.
The other thing we liked was having a stereo system available – I get so fed up when all that is supplied is a TV. I love my music and of course being at a music festival, we bought CDs, and it was great to be able to play them. Thanks again, Sandra
Just wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely amazing time in the mountains for the winter magic festival and Keira Cottage was the perfect base for us, with an easy walk to Katoomba. We loved every minute and had no problems whatsoever with the house. If I haven't already moved to the beloved mountains by the same time next year, I will definitely be booking the cottage again.
Thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable. Regards, Michelle
What a perfect cozy cottage, beautiful views, warm, secure, lovely linen and quaint features! Perfectly located between Katoomba and Leura. Thank you for a lovely stay. Kind Regards, Athena
Hi Geoff, Thanks for email. We had a really good time in Keira Cottage. We had trouble parking (We have a giant Nissan Patrol!!) but that did not spoil anything. The cottage was beautiful - clean and cosy! We did lots of hikes and walks but intend to come back to the area for more hiking. I was going to write something very positive about Keira Cottage in the visitor book but was so busy packing that I forgot to do so. It really was a lovely place to stay and we will come back. Regards, Maria
Dear Geoff, we had a very good time at your cottage and in Katoomba. If ever I get a chance to return to Australia (I am from Germany, looong way), I will remember stopping over at Keira cottage. The charm of the place is overwhelming. And in addition to that we had great fun hiking the national pass and visiting the Ukulele festival. Kind regards, Anke

A lovely time!
Danielle Skerrett - 5th October 2023Perfect for a short stay. Had a lovely time over a long weekend. A great base for exploring Katoomba and Leura. Safe and quiet area and house is clean and easy to care for. You’ll want a car to get around as it’s quite hilly.
A lovely historic cottage
Bronwen Burfitt - 30th September 2023The place is quaint and cosy and a nice short walk to the centre of Katoomba. A great base for a trip to the Blue Mountains.
What a lovely and cozy house!
Jade Lowry - 12th September 2023We couldn’t have asked for anything more comfortable! Keira’s Cottage was so ideal for what we needed. Very close to Katoomba station with the only obstacle being a giant hill haha!
Cosy traditional space in a lovely spot!
Laura McArthur - 3rd September 2023Beautiful traditional Blue Mountains house with quaint wooden interior and log burner, which you definitely need in winter here! The electric blankets were welcome as we were there the coldest weekend of the year at 2 degrees, and -8 with windchill! It’s a short walk (10-15 min) to Leura and Katoomba so you have the choice of both villages. The bush walks also start about 15min walk away so you don’t need to drive once there if you don’t want to. The parking space would be challenging for anyone not confident with a tight park (we managed with an 80s series Land Cruiser but it was tight), but there is street parking about 50m away. Would definitely consider staying again.
